What To Pack For a Bahamas Cruise

Cruises are such a fun way to experience a new country. You get to live and play on a large ship with so many amenities, all with the ocean surrounding you constantly. A cruise in the Bahamas is a popular vacation idea for a good reason! While planning for your fun trip closer to the equator and clear blue seas, you should consider thinking about what you plan to pack. Before you zip up your suit case and call it a day, you should look up the forecast so that you can plan accordingly. However, even in the winter, the Bahamas are a paradise. The temperature is typically still in the 70's in December! Whether you are going in the summer, fall, winter or spring, you should be prepared. Here are some things you should pack for a cruise in the Bahamas.

Warm Backups

No matter what season you take your cruise during, you should bring at least one fleece fabric jacket and pair of pants. That way you can cuddle up in your comfortable bed and watch the sea from your window while you turn up the air conditioner to sleep. Even if you do not like to sleep cold, it never hurts to bring one pair of warm clothes just in case you need them for whatever reason!

Swimsuits

This may seem like a no brainer, but you will want to make sure you have properly fitted and comfortable bathing suits ahead of your trip. If you live away from a body of water, you may not have pulled out your swim suits in a good long while. Do yourself a favor and try your old suits on and consider having some fun by shopping for new suits. In order to pick the best suit for you, think about what style of suit you will be the most comfortable in swimming in public around people you do not know. Some people are not too particular about this and there is nothing wrong with that. If you are, then it doesn't hurt to plan ahead.

Coverup

You will probably be in your swimsuit often, from lazing in the pool to tanning on the sundeck. When you are finished with your fun activities but want to keep your swim suit on in case you feel like jumping in the pool again, you can carry around a light weight and cute cover up with you. That way if you take a break from tanning to go grab some lunch you can throw on a cute dress-like piece of clothing and feel right at home.

A Few Cute Outfits

When packing for your ventures off the boat or your daily wear that isn't a bathing suit and coverup, it helps to think in full outfits. For example, if your cruise is a week long trip, then you could plan three or four cute daily outfits that coordinate with each other and are interchangeable. This might look like one or two pairs of shorts, a skirt and a pair of light weight pants with three or four neutral and comfortable shirts.

Comfortable Walking Shoes

Don't forget to bring your favorite pair of walking shoes so you can sight see whatever you want to while you are on land. Miles of walking might feel pretty bad in your thin flip flops!

Flip Flops

Of course, you will want easy to take off flip flops for lounging around the cruise ship and relaxing. Definitely bring a pair of these!

It is so hard to not have a good time on a Bahamian cruise. In order to ensure that you have a stress free time full of fun and unique experiences, you should consider packing ahead of time and even purchasing some items just for your vacation. No matter what, you are sure to enjoy the beautiful ocean, unique culture and amazing weather that this country has to offer. Pack prepared and have a great time out there!
