How to access the internet in South Africa

If you are visiting South Africa, then worrying about your experience without internet access should be the last thing in your mind.

South Africa has a wide internet access although the speeds might be slower and most often temperamental outside the major cities.

The cities with the best internet access include - Johannesburg, Capetown, Pretoria, Soweto, Durban, Mitchell's Plain, Umlazi among others.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

  • In most accomodations, Wi-Fi is always among the options. The Wi-Fi is secure and fast.

NOTE: Most Wi-Fi connections in tourist resorts, lodges or hotels tend to secure their Wi-Fi with a password which is always given in the reception.

Accomodations also tend to have a computer connected to an Ethernet cable to enable their customers access the internet.
