A guide on "Cinque Terre Express"

The Cinque Terre Express is actually just the regular regional train that runs between La Spezia and Sestri Levante, but stops in each of the 5 towns. However during the touristic seasons, Trenitalia changes the name of this regular train and increase the price, but also increases the frequency.

  • runs every 15minutes from from April 1 - November 4, 2018
  • tickets types
  • Single ticket valid for 75 minutes : €4 (€2 for children age 4-12)
  • Day passes, which also gives you free wifi, free usage of the train bathroom, and access to some museums etc (midnight validity, not 24hr):
  • Adult 1-day €16
  • Adult 2-day €29
  • Adult 3-day €41
  • Children 1-day €10 from 4 to 12 yo
  • Senior 1-day €13 70+ yo
  • Family 1-day €42 for families of 2 adults and 2 children (4-12)
  • you can buy the single ones trenitalia.com or just buy them at the station of any of the towns along the route. Make sure you pick up a schedule or take a photo of one as they are not digital (we are not so advanced when it comes to technology, not the public sector at least)

Very Important: you need to stamp your tickets right before using them the first time! Otherwise if the controller catch you, you will be fined
