Where to store luggage in Medellin, Colombia.

  • These are my top suggestions on where to find affordable and safe luggage storage services in Medellin.
  • There's no luggage storage facility at Medellin's Jose Cordova airport, which makes it even more challenging to find luggage storage in this city. These are some of your best options.

Medellin bus terminal (Terminal Norte and Sur)

  • Medellin has two bus terminals, the north, and the south terminal. Based on your destination you'll pick a bus to nearby destinations at one of the terminals. Both terminals have luggage storage facilities and are 15 minutes away from each other.
  • At the north terminal, the luggage storage facility is on the ground floor, close to the washrooms, and is not easy to miss. It's open 24/7. You only your id or passport for your luggage to be stored here. Storage cost will depend on the items you're storing and the number of days you'll be storing the items. Averagely it costs $6 per day.
  • I'm yet to use the south terminal luggage storage facility, but I've learned that rates are the same at both facilities.

Hotels and hostels

  • Most hotels and hostels will only accept to store your luggage if you had stayed at their facility for some days. The most convenient hotel for this is the Nutibara hotel right at the heart of Medellin a few meters away from Parque Berrio metro station and next to the Palace of culture. You can also easily access both bus terminals and the airport from Nutibara.
