Fort Jesus is a museum and UNESCO world heritage within Mombasa, Kenya. It's famous for its architecture as well as ancient Portuguese culture and its effects on the Kenyan coast.
How to get to fort Jesus.
It's very easy to get to Fort Jesus since it's within Mombasa island. The neighborhood where fort Jesus is located cannot be accessed using public service buses. You'll have to take a taxi or tuk-tuk.
Tuktuk cost: Fares will vary Depending on which part of town you are picking the tuk-tuk from though it shouldn't be more than Ksh 1000 if you are from Mombasa- mainland. If you pick a tuk-tuk from within the island they shouldn't charge you more than Ksh 300.
Taxis: Ubers are not common in Mombasa, taxi prices differ since taxis in Mombasa are not metered. However, the fare shouldn't be more than Ksh 3000.
Fort Jesus Entry charges
Children under 16 years pay half the entry fee. Entry fees are Ksh 200, 400 and 1200 for Kenyan citizens, East African citizens, and non-citizens respectively.

Working hours: The museum is open from 8 am to 6 pm daily.
