Taxi cost between Recoleta and the airport (EZE and AEP) in Buenos Aires

  • There are two main airports in Buenos Aires:
  1. Ministro Pistarini Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) is the main international airport where 99% of the visitors to Buenos Aires are coming from. If you're flying to Buenos Aires from anywhere else other than Uruguay, you'll be landing in this airport
  2. Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) mostly serves domestic flights. The only international flights it has are to/from Uruguay
  • Here's a map showing their relative locations:

  • Cost to/trom EZE Airport as of April 2020:
  • Metered tax: about 1600 pesos, or USD$25
  • Uber: 800 pesos, or USD$12.5
  • Cost to/from AEP Airport as of April 2020:
  • Metered taxi: 500 pesos or USD$7.5
  • Uber: 200 pesos, or USD$3
  • The problem with the prices in pesos is that our currency is losing value so fast due to inflation, by the time you get here the prices in pesos will probably be much higher than what I've stated above as of April 2020. However, the USD prices should remain very steady, so you can convert the USD price I wrote above to pesos when you travel. By the way, you can pay for taxis at the airport with US dollars. For Uber everything can be paid by credit card
