Useful Info
Rwanda is indeed one of the places where you can observe gorilla's in their natural habitat. Rwanda has set aside various gorilla families that tourists can come and enjoy at any time. These gorillas are placed in their natural habitat and hence you can observe their habits in nature.
Volcanoes national park is located in the northern part of the country and this national park is peppered with gorilla families that have been set aside for the visitors. However a small part is set aside so that they can be studied.
Every tourist is required to pay 1500 to obtain a single gorilla permit to view the gorillas. This is the same price for both the local and international tourists. Every single day a total of about 80 permits are issued out.
Once the large group of tourists arrives at the national park, they are split into smaller groups of about 10 tourists and each group is assigned a specific guide.
Gorillas just like humans have developed characteristics and behaviour and it is a wonderful sight to behold to view these advanced creatures.
