International flights arrive at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (previously called and still know as Zanderij International Airport).
- It is located 45 km south of Paramaribo.
- There is a minibus from Zanderij to Paramaribo. It goes hourly from the petrol station, some 50m from the airport. Easy to find.
It cost 1 Dollar.
Ask local people for Zanderij.
But is risky to rely on this minibus.
- The main tourist shuttle buses leave when the flights have landed and there are not many arrivals. If you miss your bus you will need to wait long for the next one to come.
At the airport, there is a stand right after customs in the arrival hall, where a person can help you. The ride takes 60 mins.
- One way ticket $8.
- Return ticket US$10.
Another option is to take a shared taxi - you can purchase your ticket from one of the company booths in the arrivals hall.
If none of above is for you try to contact Garage Ashruf as they offer transport service between the airport and the city
