"Kneeling culture" in Uganda
- Most tourists are usually quite shocked by one of Uganda's old traditions that young ladies and women kneel when addressing older men and women. You'll probably see little of this or none at all when in major and tourist cities such as Kampala, Jinja, and Entebbe but as you make your way into rural Uganda expect to see much of it.
As a tourist, you won't be really expected to do the same but you can just do it to engage with the locals and have a feel of Ugandan culture.
KEY CULTURE TIP: Revealing outfits are banned in Uganda and walking around in the public in such could get you arrested or you may be harassed.
